Dedication for September 2006:
The Board of Directors of the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center and the Buffalo Horse Show Committee would like to dedicate the 2006 show to the memory of Stephen Comunale Junior.
There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of Stephen. His riding began here at the age of ten. As a junior, he qualified for pony finals, equitation finals, and won numerous blue ribbons all over the country at major shows. Stephen went on to become a strong jumper rider. He grew from a student at SBS Farms to a teacher at SBS Farms to the BTRC show manager. There was no one who did not like him. Stephen's gentle ways, sense of humor and of course that smile made him a genius at dealing with any type of personality. He got along with young and old. All of us who are here as riders, trainers, owners and horse lovers will never allow Stephen's memory to be forgotten and earlier this year we renamed our series of shows in his honor. We all learned a great deal from Stephen about life and about death. There is a quote which is "people come into your life for a reason, season or lifetime." Thank you Stephen for coming into our lives and making it better.
