Summer Horse Camp:

In partnership with nonprofits Victory Gallop and Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center, we provide a summer horse camp experience to children touched by cancer.  Riding horses was something near and dear to Stephen's heart so we are pleased to be able to provide this great horse experience to many other children.  During the 2013 summer, we will be partnering with Victory Gallop to host a  four day summer horse camp.  We will also be partnering with the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center to host a one day horse camp.  Stephen, Jr. used to run the horse shows at The Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center.  This show series is now dedicated to Stephen, Jr.

Holiday Meals Program:

Our Holiday Meals Program provides complete holiday meals to local families battling cancer during Thanksgiving and the December holidays.  We partner with many local individuals and companies to ensure these families have a great holiday meal in the comfort of their own home.  During the 2012 holiday season, the Foundation provided 100 complete holiday meals to local families battling cancer (50 meals at Thanksgiving and 50 meals in December). The Foundation will be repeating this program during the 2013 holiday season!

A special thank you to the following companies for their 2012 holiday meal contribution.

Jane's Sunshine Fund:

Jane's Sunshine Fund was established in 2012 in memory of Jane Comunale to help put smiles on faces through
small grants.  Examples of how this fund is put to work are: Assisting with a child's birthday party, sending flowers, providing a meal, etc.  The Foundation provided 61 grants through Jane's Sunshine Fund during the 2012 calendar year and the program continues on in 2013.  Jane was Steven Jr.'s loving mother, she was a co-founder of the Stephen A. Comunale, Jr. Family Cancer Foundation and a Board Member of the Foundation from its inception in 2006.  Jane lost her courageous battle with cancer in August of 2011 and is greatly missed.
