Monica Stevens, Associate Director, joined the Foundation staff in 2013. Monica has served on the Foundation Board since its inception in 2006 and has been actively involved in our day-to-day activities. Monica focuses on working with social workers, community members and organizations to familiarize them with the Foundation’s grant process and initiatives. Monica is a graduate of The Ohio State University and received her Masters in Public Administration from the University of Akron.
Marisa Hoffmann, Program Director, joined the Foundation staff in 2008. In 2013, she happily stepped into the newly created position of Program Director. Marisa oversees the Individual Grant Giving, Summer Horse Camps, Holiday Meal Programs and any future programs. Marisa is a graduate of Indiana University (Bloomington) and received her Masters in Public Administration with a specialization in nonprofit management from the University of Akron. Marisa served as a Board Member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals North Central Ohio Chapter in 2010 and 2011, she is a member of Christ Child Society of Akron and the Walsh Jesuit High School Class of 1999 Scholarship Committee.
Marisa has a family connection with Type I Diabetes and spent many years volunteering with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in Atlanta, Georgia. Her experience with JDRF guided her to pursue a career in nonprofit.
