Marisa Lamkin, Associate Director, joined the Foundation in May of 2008.  Marisa focuses on working with social workers, community members and organizations to familiarize them with the Foundation’s grant process and initiatives.  Marisa is a graduate of Indiana University (Bloomington) and received her Masters in Public Administration with a specialization in nonprofit management from the University of Akron.

Marisa has a family connection with Type I Diabetes and spent many years volunteering with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia.  Her experience with JDRF guided her to pursue a career in nonprofit.
