40th Anniversary Celebration

 The Hilton Akron/Fairlawn celebrated its 40th Anniversary on October 2, 2009.  This accomplishment makes the hotel the longest continually owned and operated Hilton in the world!  Rennick and Dee Andreoli used this special milestone not only to celebrate the Hilton's anniversary but to also support the Foundation.  All proceeds raised from their anniversary celebration benefitted the Stephen A. Comunale, Jr. Family Cancer Foundation.

A heartfelt thank you to Rennick and Dee Andreoli for remembering our Foundation as they celebrated the Hilton's Anniversary.  Also, a special thank you to the entire staff of the Hilton for all their hard work on behalf of the Foundation during the celebration weekend.

 Spin-For-Life 2009

October 3, 2009

200 participants came to the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn to ride in support of the Foundation on October 3, 2009.  The ballroom was filled with people of all ages and experience levels from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.  Some participants rode for a half an hour while other riders spun for the entire 6 hours.  A great time, and workout, was had by all and we look forward to the next Spin-For-Life in 2011! 

This event also took place during the weekend of the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn's 40th Anniversary Celebration and all proceeds made from the entire weekend were given to the Foundation.  The weekend raised over $100,000!

THE EVENT: Kickin’ It In The Caribbean

THANK YOU to all of our sponsors and guests!  We had roughly 700 people in attendance and THE EVENT would not have been the success that it was without each and every one of you.  Because of this event, many more individuals and families in our community who are battling cancer will receive assistance.  

THE EVENT is an every-other year fundraider.  Please stay tuned for information regarding THE EVENT 2010!
